About

I started photographing moments while in High School, shooting for the year book. By the time I graduated high school, my passion for music had left me and I was head over heels in love with photography. I didn’t even wait to enroll in photography classes in college after I graduated, I went right into summer school so I could learn as much as possible. For my first two years of college, I worked on the campus newspaper, where I learned much about deadlines, shooting tight and making images that people wanted to see. I won numerous awards from the Journalism Association of Community Colleges(JACC), including first place feature, first place sports, second place feature and third place picture story. I was part of the staff that helped launch from a twice monthly paper to a weekly paper and served as an editor for a year.

In the fall of 2007, I went to San Jose State as a Photojournalism student. I shot everything under the sun, sports, portraits, features, multimedia projects, political events.

I’ve done work with Sports Illustrated, Getty Images and USA Today as well as many other local photographers in the area.
